Heena Reiter, RN, MSN, is founder, director and primary teacher at Gesher Center, since 2000. Since 1991, Heena has studied with Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, Sylvia Boorstein, Rabbi David and Shoshana Cooper, Rabbi Jeff Roth, Rabbi Ruth Gan Kagan and is currently studying with Rabbi Yakov Travis. She completed the Lev Shomea [Listening Heart] Program in Jewish Spiritual Direction in 2002. Heena was a student of Zen Buddhism with Roshi Philip Kapleau from 1977-1984. Heena has a Masters in Psychiatric-Community Mental Health Nursing from the University of Illinois at the Medical Center, Chicago. She is married to Stephen and they have 3 children -- twin sons, age 29 and a daughter, age 26. In August 2006, Heena moved Gesher Center from its in-town location to her home in rural Earlysville, VA., so she could have more time for her own studies and spiritual work along with her teaching and interfaith peace building work.

Simona Aronow is a Movement Therapist, specializing in Authentic Movement and a teacher of Kabbalah. Yeshiva-educated and raised Orthodox, Simona brings movement and meditative-awareness to established Jewish practice. She is a long-term student of Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo, 27th generation Cherokee.
